| Brief Biography: Obituary from the News Press Jan 26, 1956: Services for Mrs. Georgia Shores Abbey will be conducted by Dr. B.V. Powell tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the Meierhoffer-Fleeman chapel. Interment will be in Mount Mora Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbey, widow of Archie Abbie died yesterday afternoon at her home, 513 North 23d street. A St. Joseph resident for 40 years, she was a member of the Francis Street Methodist Church. Surviving are her daugher, Mrs. Lloyd (Lola) Ratcliffe of the home, and five nieces and nephews, two of home, Mrs. Florence Cantrell and Calvin Pearce, live in St. Joseph. Mrs. Abbey was born in Clarinda, Iowa. |
